An inductive sensor is a device that changes the self-inductance or mutual
inductance of a coil to achieve measurement. Generally composed of an
oscillator, a switching circuit and an amplifying output circuit. The structure
of the inductive sensor is relatively simple, there is no active electrical
contact, and the service life is relatively long. The flexibility is high and
the output signal is strong. Both linearity and repeatability are good, enabling
long-distance transmission, recording, display and control. It can measure
parameters such as displacement, vibration, pressure, flow, and specific
gravity. Therefore, it is used in various industries, especially in the
electromechanical industry and automobile manufacturing. But maybe a lot of

Inductive sensor
Inductive sensor features:
(1) Inductive sensors have no active electrical contacts, have a long service
life, and are relatively simple in structure.
(2) The output signal is strong and the voltage sensitivity is relatively
high.
(3) The mechanical displacement and the angle of the weak change can be felt
when using.
(4) Within a certain range of displacement, the linearity of the output
characteristics is good and the output is stable.
(5) The disadvantage of the inductive sensor is that there is an AC zero
signal, which is not suitable for high frequency dynamic measurement.
Type of inductive sensor:
Inductive sensors can be classified into three types: self-inductive sensors,
differential transformer sensors, and eddy current sensors.
Self-inductive sensor: The self-inductive sensor consists of a coil, a core
and an armature. The iron core and the armature are made of a magnetic material
such as silicon steel sheet or permalloy. The self-inductive sensor converts the
measured change into a change in self-inductance L, which is converted into a
voltage or current output by a certain conversion circuit. When the sensor is in
use, its moving part is connected with the moving iron core (armature iron).
When the moving iron core moves, the thickness of the air gap between the iron
core and the armature changes, causing the magnetic resistance of the magnetic
circuit to change, resulting in a change in the inductance value of the coil. By
measuring the change in inductance, the magnitude and direction of the
displacement of the moving iron core can be determined.
Differential transformer: There are many structural forms, such as variable
gap type, variable area type and spiral line. The differential transformer
consists of an iron core, an armature and a coil. Although its structure has
many forms, its working principle is basically the same. The upper and lower
cores of the differential transformer have a primary coil 1 and a secondary coil
2. The upper and lower primary coils are connected in series with the AC
excitation voltage, and the two secondary coils are connected in series by the
potential.
Eddy current sensor: The eddy current sensor has a relatively simple
structure and is mainly composed of a flat circular coil. Its flat circular coil
is placed on the probe housing. According to the principle of Faraday's
electromagnetic induction, the non-electricity such as displacement and
temperature is converted into a change in impedance or a change in inductance to
perform non-electrical electrical measurement. The variable gap displacement
sensor currently produced has a range of 300m to 800mm.
